Wirral Seaside Runs is a series of six 5km races, organised by Pensby Runners. The runs are held on the last Wednesday of the month from March to August. Race numbers can be collected on the day from 5.45 p.m. on Race Day from the registration desk at Leasowe Lighthouse.
The race start is close to Leasowe Lighthouse, Moreton and then along the sea embankment to finish at Harrison Drive close to the Lifeguard Station. Most competitors run back to the car park at the start, otherwise you will need to arrange transport at the finish. It is a flat and fast course and provides a regular indicator of fitness and performance. The races are very popular with club runners as well as beginners and have become a permanent fixture on the running scene of Merseyside over the last 30 years.
